Child prostitute and trafficking estimated numbers country rise: ECPAT International
In Thailand- research group the Protection Project estimate the number of child victims of prostitution to be at least 80,000 but likely to be in the hundreds of thousands ,
In Sri Lanka, The government itself estimates there are approximately 30,000 children involved.
In Taiwan, between 40,000 and 60,000 children are sex workers ,
In China, the estimates range from 200,000 to 500,000 ,
In Brazil, the estimates range from 500,000 to 2 million ,
In the Dominican Republic, an estimated 25,000 ,
In West Africa, an estimated 35,000 ,

NYC FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR ANTI-CHILD TRAFFICKING
Date and Time: 9 October 2008 from 7:00 – 10:00 PM
Location: 723 Washington Street, New York, NY
Tickets: $75 at door / $70 reserved
Purpose: To raise awareness on global issue of child trafficking and to raise funds benefiting two non-profit organizations, Saigon Children Charity and Thao Dan, which protect Rights of Children in Vietnam.
Event Activities: Video, Live Performances, and Silent Auction
Only An Angel Can Save Me Now performances.
Numerous press writers/executives from TV and Newspapers are expected to attend the event. Event photographer and videographer will be there to document the event for educational footage.
